Further information:
Ironpress Open Studios: Ironpress is opening its doors for Lancaster Arts Fair!
Head down to Storey and step into a working print studio… no workshop booking needed, just turn up, watch, ask questions, and soak up the atmosphere.
Each day has a different focus, so there’s always something new to see:
Mon-Wed: Intaglio days – etching, drypoint and collagraph in action
Thu-Sat: Relief printing – lino, woodcut and engraving
You’ll see live demos, get to chat with the artists making the work, and browse (and buy!) original prints from our members – a great chance to take home something genuinely one-of-a-kind.
And if you can only make one day… make it Saturday 29th! We’re joining the bigger Makers Fair in the gallery that day, so expect a buzzing atmosphere alongside all the printmaking.

Assembly Arts – Student Showcase
As we celebrate our third birthday Assembly Arts are proud to be exhibiting work created by our students over the past twelve months. With artworks including ceramics, drawing, prints and photography this exciting and eclectic show demonstrates the diversity and talent of our learners across multiple disciplines.
Assembly Arts is an independent artist led art school, gallery and studio space based in Lancaster’s historic Assembly Rooms.
Until 26 September
Gregson cardboard city
Join us for Cardboard City – a fun, free family workshop that sparks creativity and environmental awareness. This is part of Lancaster Art Fair, the annual event supporting local artists and the community through workshops, exhibitions and creative opportunities!
Local artist Michelle will be there to facilitate as your little ones let their creativity flow. Using recycled cardboard, children and families can design and build their own imaginative cities, inspiring discussions about sustainability and the world they want to create.
Perfect for the school holidays! 2-4pm in The Hall
Parents must stay with their little ones and can join in with the fun! Plus the Cafe Bar will be open to grab a coffee and cake to bring up to the room or you can have lunch before hand.
Thank you to Gregson volunteers for supporting this community initiative.
Why not make a day of it – enjoy Lancaster Art Fair’s exhibition in our Cafe Bar and grab some lunch whilst you’re here in our award winning cafe bar. Check out the menu here.
Vaa coffee morning
Tuesday 25 August 10:00am – 12:00pm
This will be an informal opportunity for exhibitors, local creatives and VAA members to meet, build connections and share ideas during the fair. We hope it becomes a relaxed and valuable networking session for everyone involved.
